Battle.net is the desktop client developed by the Blizzard company to give you easy access to their store, game news and updates, daily offers, etc. It's also necessary for launching the games you bought from the Blizzard store. The application is nicely-designed and intuitive, provides you with many useful gameplay features, and is free.
The first thing you need to do is to enter your Blizzard account credentials in the Login window of the app. An email will be sent to the entered email address that gives you access to a code. Enter this code within the app's interface and you can start using the program on your PC.
The app gives you access to game offers and updates, lets you watch game trailers directly from its interface, enables you to chat with other Battle.net users, and provides you with the latest news. Furthermore, you can record and share gameplay sessions via the Facebook account.
Two things bother me: the desktop client might use many CPU resources while running on your PC and the app doesn't provide you with detailed information about Blizzard's games (instead, it redirects you to the homepage of the games in question).
Still, this program proves to be of good use if you want to easily keep your Blizzard games up-to-date. Plus, you don't have to pay a dime to use it on your PC. In conclusion, it's worth installing it on your PC if you own any Blizzard games.
